Hastings rail trip
On December 30th Kathryn Yates and her husband Andrew had the pleasure of joining fellow train passenger on a Rail- Blue Charters trip to Hastings - 'The 20s Southern Circular' (http://www.rail-bluecharters.co.uk ). Kathryn said about the trip "Mark Honey had invited us along for the ride and to help with the raffle on board to raise money for the Sarcoma Trust. Selling tickets for the raffle we managed to raise over £500 for The Sarcoma Trust, with a variety of prizes on offer."
Bletchley Park table top sale
Shirley Collings along with husband Barry and some friends held a table top sale at Bletchley Park's christmas fair in December 2009. They raised over £250 for the Trust.
Curry Night June 2010
The East Midlands Sarcoma Support group held a Charity Curry night in May 2010, to raise awareness of Sarcoma and funds for the Trust at Dine India, Countesthorpe,
As well as a lovely Indian Buffet we had a charity auction and raffle and managed to raise just over £2200
Thanks to Anita Pabla and Kathryn Yates(both in photo) for organising the event and generous donations of prizes made by all.
Our Director, Lindsey Bennister, completed her Great Swim last weekend, in 27 min despite the poor weather conditions. "She said High winds and heavy showers meant that the water was very choppy and the organisers had to reduce the distance to make the course safer. But it was great fun......!”
Charlie Parish and Andy Pond cycle from Winchester to Birmingham, to the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, where Charlie was treated.
